Vincent Antonielli

Owner and senior photographer.

Vincent spent 10 years at University majoring in Physics. Only ever wanted to be a nuclear physicist. Always running around with a camera as a kid, he joined the Camera Club on campus. Finished up running it. First thing he ever developed in a darkroom was an x-ray difraction photo of a crystal. That got him hooked on darkroom work. Although mainly self-taught, Vincent has run courses on Black & White film and print processing, Colour film and print processing and Slide film processing (and prints from slides).

He couldn't land a job as a nuclear physicist so he got into Computer programming. Nearly every car and car part that comes into Australia goes through his software.

With the amount of software work declining, Vincent turned to his hobby and it became a business. Photo Mode has been in operation since 1982. Since then he has photographed countless weddings, portraits, folios, magazine covers and photo sets and a few calendars while also doing some advertizing work even working at Melbourne's Fashion Week, both backstage and front, for fashion designers.

In 1982 he was selected to photograph the "VFL's Football's Glamour Girls" Calendar working with the same art director who produced the "Big M" Calendars. Working, planning and executing this work proved his ability and led to many similar assignments. He still does regular published magazine work.

After operating studios previously in the City (Bourke St) and Endeavour Hills, in 2013 he opened a new factory/warehouse photo studio in Keysborough with expanded Services and Products for clients.
